About Shaneka Jones Cook
Shaneka Jones Cook lives and works as a writer and a Community Engagement Specialist in Washington, D.C. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles and a BA in English from Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is a licensed Notary Public in Virginia and Washington, DC. She is a former elementary school teacher who writes fiction, poetry, short stories, and creative nonfiction. She has been published in The Record (Trinity Washington University),
Trinity Magazine and most recently Antioch University’s very own Lunch Ticket. She served as an assistant editor, interviewer and guest interviewer of Lunch Ticket for Issues 11, 12 and 13. She was an assistant editor and guest interviewer for the Lunch Ticket. She served as an assistant editor for The Women’s National Book Association’s annual writing contest. She is currently working on a collection of short stories.

Woven: A Compilation of Short Stories
This is a volume of stunning short stories. The author allows the reader to explore themes such as sexuality, gender, racial identity with each character. These stories brings insight into the ways poverty and abuse can affect families. This book is also about secrets, deception, but most importantly, the author is trying to find redemption for herself.
Tainted Curse
Tainted Curse is about two siblings, Dahlia Sage and Dalton Sawyer, whom were born into a family of vampire slayers. Their parents were slain by Slive a member of the Immortal Origin/Purebloods clan. Dahlia and Dalton continue the fight of their parents. By day they are owners of an antique shop, by night they hunt vampires.
